VEST WITH GOLD EMBROIDERY (SALTAMARKA), PART OF THE TRADITIONAL BRIDAL COSTUME OF NAOUSSA (EN)

Σαλταμάρκα- κοντό μανικωτό γιλέκο με χρυσά κεντήματα, παραδοσιακής νυφικής φορεσιάς από τη Νάουσα. Είναι φτιαγμένη από συνολικά πέντε φύλλα υφάσματος. Στον κορμό, τον γιακά και τις άκρες των μανικιών υπάρχει χρυσό σιρίτι. Το σιρίτι ακολουθούν χρυσά κεντήματα με καμπυλωτά μοτίβα. Ο γιακάς καλύπτεται από πλούσιο χρυσό κέντημα με φυτικά μοτίβα. Τις δύο μπροστινές γωνίες κοσμούν χρυσοκέντητες φυτικές συνθέσεις. (EL)
Saltamarka – Cropped, sleeved vest with gold embroidery, part of the traditional bridal costume of Naoussa. It is made of five in total panels of fabric. There is gold braid on the torso, collar and on the edges of the sleeves. The braid is followed by gold embroidery with curvy patterns. The collar is richly decorated with gold embroidery with vegetal motifs. The two front corners are embellished with embroidered gold vegetal compositions. (EN)
