Παραδοσιακή νυφική φορεσιά από την Νάουσα. Η φορεσιά αποτελείται από το πουκάμισο (μεσοφόρι), το φόρεμα, την ποδιά, τον μακρύ επενδύτη με το χρυσό σιρίτι (μακριλέμπαντο), τις δύο τραχηλιές (μία εσωτερική και μία εξωτερική), τα δύο μανικάκια, το μαφέσι (ύφασμα που έμπαινε πάνω από την τραχηλιά), τη ζώστρα (ύφασμα που περιέβαλε τη μέση και τους γοφούς), τη ζώνη με τα χρυσά κεντήματα και την περίτεχνη πόρπη (κολάνι), το καπέλο με τη φούντα στα αριστερά (τεπελούκι) και τα κεντημένα παπούτσια. Την ενδυμασία συμπλήρωναν κοσμήματα, όπως χρυσά φλουριά στο λαιμό, καρφίτσες, σκουλαρίκια, περιδέραια (γκιουρντάνια). Η νυφική ενδυμασία αποτελούσε μέρος της προίκας μιας κοπέλας όταν παντρευόταν, καθώς ήταν φτιαγμένη από ακριβά υλικά, και ήταν και η επίσημη ενδυμασία της παντρεμένης κοπέλας, χωρίς όμως την φούντα στο καπέλο. Χρησιμοποιούνταν μέχρι και τις πρώτες δεκαετίες του 20ου αιώνα.

Traditional bridal costume from Naoussa. The costume consists of the shirt (chemise), the dress, the apron, the long overcoat with gold braid (makrilebado), the two plastrons (inner and outer), the two undersleeves, the mafesi (fabric worn over the plastron), the sash (fabric that encircled the waist and hips), the belt with gold embroidery and an ornate buckle (kolani), the hat with the tassel on the left (tepeluki), and the embroidered shoes. The costume was complemented by jewellery, such as gold coins around the throat, brooches, earrings, necklaces (giurdania). The bridal costume was part of a young woman’s dowry when she got married, as it was made of expensive materials, and also served as the formal attire of a married woman, with the exception of the tassel on the hat. It was used until the early decades of the 20th century.
