Ο Στέφανος Πλύστακας γεννήθηκε το 1934 στο Αμάλου Ικαρίας. Eίναι πρακτικός οργανοπαίχτης, χωρίς θεωρητικές γνώσεις μουσικής και παίζει βιολί και μαντολίνο. Έπαιζε μουσική μόνο μέσα στα όρια της γεωγραφικής περιφέρειας του χωριού του. Το ρεπερτόριό του περιελάμβανε συρτά, Ικαριώτικα, Σηλυβριανούς και ευρωπαϊκά. (EL)
Stefanos Plystakas was born in 1934 in Amalou in Ikaria Island. He is a practical instrumentalist, without any theoretical knowledge of music and plays violin and mandolin. He played music only within the geographical boundaries of his village. His repertoire included traditional Greek tunes such as sirta, Ikariotika, Silivrian, and European (waltz, tango, etc). (EN)
