ΒΙΟΜΗΧΑΝΙΚΗ ΕΓΚΑΤΑΣΤΑΣΗ- Το ορυχείο υλοποιεί συγκεκριμένο πρόγραμμα δράσης το οποίο επικεντρώνεται στην μείωση του περιβαλλοντικού αποτυπώματος μέσω της αποκατάστασης του τοπίου. Γιαυτόν τον λόγο δημιουργήθηκε ένα φυτώριο με περισσότερα από 2.200 φυτά - είδη, όπως όπως πεύκα, βελανιδιές, συκιές, κυπαρίσσια και ακακίες, καθώς και μερικά ιδιαίτερου ενδιαφέροντος, όπως ο κέδρος Juniperus macrocarpa. Η κατασκευή του φυτωρίου ξεκίνησε το 2009, και η πρώτη φύτευση έγινε τον Μάρτιο του 2010. Αργότερα, μετά τις φθινοπωρινές βροχές, τα φυτά μεταφυτεύθηκαν έξω στον ήλιο.
Οι εργαζόμενοι του λατομείου φιλοδοξούν να έχουν 3.500 φυτά την επόμενη χρονιά, που θα κάνουν το φυτώριο δεύτερο σε μέγεθος για την ΑΓΕΤ Ηρακλής.

INDUSTRIAL FACILITY- The mine implements a specific action plan which focuses on reducing the environmental footprint through landscape restoration. For this reason, a nursery was created with more than 2,200 plants - species such as pines, oaks, figs, cypresses and acacias, as well as some of special interest, such as the Juniperus macrocarpa cedar. Construction of the nursery began in 2009, and the first planting took place in March 2010. Later, after the autumn rains, the plants were transplanted outside into the sun.
The quarry workers aspire to have 3,500 plants next year, which will make the nursery the second largest for HERACLES General Cement Company S.A.
