Ο Αντώνιος Γεωργαντάς παρέχει εξηγήσεις στον Ιωάννη Κωλέττη γιατί δεν έγινε μέχρι σήμερα ο διορισμός του ως συμβούλου του κράτους. Εκφράζει την άποψη ότι ήταν ολέθρια ιδέα να απομακρυνθούν τόσο ικανοί άνθρωποι όπως ο παραλήπτης. Θεωρεί ότι η κατάσταση στη Δυτ. Ελλάδα δεν έχει διορθωθεί παρά του ότι επικρατεί ησυχία.
