Ο [Α. Ιω.] Βαλτινός ειδοποιεί τον Διοικητή ότι έχει λάβει επίσημη διαταγή για συγκέντρωση στρατευμάτων κατά των Θεσσαλέων και έχει ήδη εκδόσει τις ανάλογες διαταγές προς τα στρατεύματα της μεθορίου. Ωστόσο, θεωρεί απαραίτητο να μην διαδοθεί η είδηση και προκληθεί πανικός και ταραχή στους κατοίκους της επαρχίας Υπάτης.
