"Ιάσι, πόλι μεγάλη, εμπορική, είναι η μητρόπολι της Μολδοβίας, μαρυά από τον Προύτο ως 3 ώραις εις το δυτικό, απάνω εις ταις αριστεραίς όχθαις του Μπαχλουιού ρύακος. Το Ιάσι έξω από μερικά σπίτια...αι επίλοιπαις οικοδομαίς είναι όλαις χαμηλαίς, με ξύλα και με λάσπη φκιασμέναις, κακορρίζικα καταλύματα." (EL)
