Ες ώσπερ οι επιχώριοι λέγουσιν, ή, ει βούλη. Έσσιον, ή Ιάσσιον...Μητρόπολις της Μολδόβης, οικητήριον των ηγεμόνων, κτισθέν μεν πρώτον υπό του μεγάλου Στεφάνου...Των εν τω περιτειχίσματι μεγάλων παλαιών ηγεμονείαν εμπρησθέντων ήδη τριακοστόν που έτος, και ερειπίων μεινάντων, τα κτισθέντα υπό του Αλεξάνδρου Μορούζη ηγεμόνα, τα πρωτεία φέρει ίσως πάντων των εν Τυρκία κτισμάτων.
