"οικοδομεί [Μεχμέτ] και βασίλεια λαμπρά περί την Αδριανού, αυτού που περί τον Εύρον ποταμόν πέραν του άστεος, λίθοις τε λαμπροίς και μαρμάροις διαφανέσι κεκοσμημένα, ... έτι δε γλυφική και γραφική τέχνη πεποικιλμένα... Κατασκευάζει δε και βασίλειον αυλήν..." (EL)
