Σε αυτή την έγχρωμη λιθογραφία σε πλάγιο ξύλο ο καλλιτέχνης απεικονίζει δύο άντρες πάνω σε άλογα. Ένα άσπρο και ένα μαύρο. Από την ενδυμασία τους και τα ψάθινα καπέλα τους καταλαβαίνουμε ότι πρόκειται για αγρότες από τη Μεσσηνία όπως προδίδει και ο τίτλος. (EL)
