Το 2007 η Μαρία Παπαδημητρίου δημιουργεί τη σειρά έργων «Έργα Νίκου Εγγονόπουλου από τη συλλογή Mary & Harry Potter”. Η καλλιτέχνιδα μελετώντας τα σουρεαλιστικά έργα του Νίκου Εγγονόπουλου προσπαθεί να δημιουργήσει συσχετισμούς με πρόσωπα μέσα από λαϊκά αναγνώσματα και εικονογραφίες. Επιχειρεί να αναζητήσει τις ομοιότητες ανάμεσα στην αυτοπροσωπογραφία του νεαρού Νίκου Εγγονόπουλου και του λογοτεχνικού και κινηματογραφικού ήρωα Χάρι Πότερ και φιλοτεχνεί μια σειρά έργων, όπου αποδίδονται οι χαρακτηριστικές μορφές και τα θέματα του Νίκου Εγγονόπουλου μέσα από τη δική της χαρακτηριστική εικαστική γραφή στην οποία κυριαρχεί το έντονο χρώμα και η λυρικότητα με μια έντονα αφαιρετική διάθεση. In 2007, Maria Papadimitriou created the series of artworks titled "Works of Nikos Engonopoulos from the Collection of Mary & Harry Potter". The artist, while studying the surrealist works of Nikos Engonopoulos, attempts to create correlations with characters from popular literature and illustrations. She endeavours to explore the similarities between the self-portrait of the young Nikos Engonopoulos and the literary and cinematic hero Harry Potter and creates a series of works in which the characteristic figures and themes of Nikos Engonopoulos are depicted through her own characteristic visual writing in which intense colour and lyricism dominate with an intensely abstract mood.
