Στο έργο που παρουσιάζει, περίπου από το 1990, μελετά και αναδιαμορφώνει το χώρο είτε μέσα από δισδιάστατες ζωγραφικές απεικονίσεις είτε μέσα από εγκαταστάσεις, περιβάλλοντα και δράσεις, κάνοντας συχνά χρήση νέων τεχνολογικών μέσων. Μέσα από ένα είδος οπτικών, τεχνικών και αρχιτεκτονικών μελετών του χώρου, εστιάζει στην ιδέα της μεταβλητότητάς του. Το έργο που έχει δωρίσει ο καλλιτέχνης είναι μια εικαστικά αποδοσμένη κάτοψη μέρους του Πειραιά. Σε ένα είδος διαγραμματικής απόδοσης, με προοπτικό βλέμμα και φωσφορικό χρώμα, ο Ζάφος Ξαγοράρης διερευνά και εδώ την έννοια του χώρου και επαναπροσδιορίζει ορισμένες διαστάσεις του. (EL)
In his work, which he has been presenting since around 1990, he studies and reconfigures space either through two-dimensional paintings or through installations, environments and actions, often making use of new technological means. Through a kind of visual, technical and architectural studies of space, he focuses on the idea of its mutability. The work donated by the artist is a visually deconstructed floor plan of part of Piraeus. In a kind of diagrammatic rendering, with a perspective gaze and luminous colour, Zafos Xagoraris also explores here the concept of space and redefines certain of its dimensions. (EN)
