Ιστορικό Σημείωμα: Οικογένεια προκρίτων της Νάξου, από τις ελάχιστες ορθόδοξες οικογένειες που διέθεταν φέουδα τον 17ο αιώνα. Μέλη της υπήρξαν κτήτορες και ιδιοκτήτες της Μονής Υψηλοτέρας στις Εγγαρές, καγκελλάριοι και νοτάριοι της κοινότητας. Το συγκεκριμένο οικόσημο βρίσκεται στο υπέρθυρο της εισόδου του οικογενειακού τους πύργου στην Κάτω Ποταμιά, συνοδευόμενο από τα αρχικά Κ, Κ και τη ελληνική χρονολογία ΑΧΠΣΤ [:1686]. Σύμφωνα με όλες τις ενδείξεις ανήκει στον ισχυρό καντζηλιέρη και "υπερασπιστή των πτωχών" Κωνσταντίνο Κόκκο, ο οποίος δολοφονήθηκε το 1687 από τους αντιπάλους του.

Historical Notice: Family of notables of Naxos, including the founders and owners of the Monastery of Ypsilotera (Egares), chancellors and notaries of the local community. It was among the very few orthodox families possessing feuds in the 17th c. This particular coat-of-arms is to be found over the entrance of their family tower in Kato Potamia, accompanied by the initials K, K and the date (in the Greek numerical system) ΑΧΠΣΤ [:1686]. According to all evidence, it belongs to the powerful chancellor and "defender of the poor people" Konstantinos Kokkos, who was to be murdered by his opponents in 1687.
