Ιστορικό Σημείωμα: Οικογένεια ορθοδόξων προκρίτων της Νάξου. Μέλη της υπήρξαν υπήρξαν κτήτορες πύργου στις Εγγαρές (όπου βρίσκεται και το συγκεκριμένο οικόσημο), δημογέροντες, επίτροποι ναών, και αργότερα στρατιωτικοί και λόγιοι. Ανάλογα οικόσημα υπάρχουν στον οικογενειακό τους τάφο (Χώρα Νάξου), καθώς και σε εικόνισμα αφιερωμένο στον Μητροπολιτικό ναό. (EL)

Historical Notice: Family of Orthodox notables of Naxos, including the founders of a tower-house at Egares (where this particular coat-of-arms is to be found), "elders" of the local community, church wardens and, later on, military men and writers. Similar coats-of-arms are to be found on their family grave (Chora) and on an icon in the Orthodox Cathedral. (EN)
