The material of the "Folklore Collection" of the Democritus University of Thrace comes from the wider Thracian area and comprises objects collected primarily from the Sarakatsani ethnic Greek population subgroup. The collection consists of textiles, embroidery, women's and men's clothing, silverware, wood carving, metalwork and traditional musical instruments.
