The Digital Repository of the Greek Biotope/Wetland Centre (EKBY) is a web information system that contains EKBY’s digital literary production. The Collection of EKBY includes Books, Environmental Studies, Reports, Audiovisual material, Environmental Education Packages, Posters, Leaflets, Photos, Maps, and issues of EKBY’s Newsletter “AMPHIBION”. The collection covers the themes of biodiversity, wetlands, forests, protected areas and water ecosystems. It is addressed to biologists, foresters, agronomists, and other environmental scientists, let them be public servants, researchers or free lancers, to teachers and students, as well as to a wider audience that has an interest in conservation, management and restoration of natural resources. The repository was developed as an outcome of Project “Development of a Web Portal for the diffusion of information for biodiversity and nature of Greece”, which was financed by the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and Sports and co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund, in the framework of the Operational Programme "Digital Convergence" of the National Strategic Reference Framework (NSRF) for period 2007-2013.
