The center of research and development of the Holy Metropolis of Syros, is anon-profit organization- NGO,it was founded in July 2003 by the Holy Metropolis of Syros which includes twelve islands of the Aegean, the islands of Syros, the holy island of Tinos, Andros, Kea, the holy island of Milos, Kythnos, Serifos, Sifnos, Kimolos, Folegandros, Sikinos and Mykonos, presenting a globally unique geographical peculiarity. The center of research and development of the Holy Metropolis of Syros has charitable educational, training, social purposes, and charitable purposes, which is done without the pursuit and distribution of profit. It develops activities related to the social and welfare work of the Holy Metropolis of Syros, participates in and implements programs financed by the European Commission and the Greek government and is certified as a provider of social care services (Government Gazette 2346/Β΄/1-9-2014 &Government Gazette 1520/B΄/7-5-2019).
