The OTE Group Telecommunications Museum tells the stories of the evolution of one of the most important fields of technology: telecommunications. From phryctoriae and the electric telegraph to the telephone, satellites, television, the internet and mobile telephony, communication has been with us since antiquity, meeting a basic human need that shapes our daily lives and impacts the evolution of our culture. The OTE Group Telecommunications Museum is a technological, corporate Museum, a member of the Greek chapter of the International Council of Museums (ICOM), of which it was an honoured Museum in 2018. It welcomes 15,000 visitors a year, hosts educational programmes for all ages, and collaborates with scientists and cultural and academic organizations in Greece and abroad. Its website, www.otegroupmuseum.gr, hosts an exhibit of its collections, and it also has a social media presence @otegroupmuseum.
