The Constantinos Simitis Foundation was established in 2008 and is a public benefit private legal entity. One of its primary objectives is the creation and preservation of the political archives of Constantinos Simitis, which comprise handwritten, printed, digital and audiovisual material. The purposes of the Foundation include studying the problems of Greece, formulating proposals for building a responsible, supportive and creative society; contributing to the development of civil society; researching contemporary political history and thought, and taking initiatives for peace, the protection of human rights and international cooperation.
