Μετά από 13 χρόνια και έναν παγκόσμιο πόλεμο οι ανασκαφές στον Εγκλιανό ξαναρχίζουν το 1952 και τα ευρήματα δείχνουν ότι το ανάκτορο είναι κάτι πολύ σημαντικό. Ο Γ. Μυλωνάς, από τους κορυφαίους Έλληνες αρχαιολόγους, ο οποίος προφανώς μόλις έχει επισκεφθεί τις ανασκαφές, γράφει στον Μπλέγκεν ότι προσπαθεί να κινητοποιήσει τον Αναστάσιο Ορλάνδο και άλλους Έλληνες και ξένους αρχαιολόγους στην Αθήνα για να παράσχουν βοήθεια στο έργο του.

Thirteen yeas and a wold war later, the excavations at Englianos start again in 1952 and the finds indicate that the palace is a very important discovery. G. Mylonas, one of the leading Greek archaeologists of the time, who had just visited the excavations,writes to Blegen to tell him that he is trying to motivate Anastasios Orlandos and other Greek and foreign archaeologists in Athens, in order to offer him help with his work.
