CRAEFT
CRAEFT will deepen our understanding of making activities that include care, judgement, and dexterity standing on Anthropology, Knowledge Representation, Cognitive Science, Art History, Advanced Digitisation, Audiovisual & Haptic Immersivity, and Computational Intelligence to cover the multifaceted expression of crafts as living and developing heritage, as a sustainable source of income, and as the expression of the mind through imagery, technology, and sedimented knowledge. CRAEFT will catalyse craft education and training with intuitive digital aids, telecommunications, craft-specific simulators, advanced immersivity, and high-end digitisation, to widen access, economise learning, increase exercisability, and relax remoteness constraints in craft learning.
Knossos Digital Tour GuideA digital tour guide to the palace of Knossos and the archaeological wealth of Heraklion. The object of the project is the implementation of an integrated digital information action with four main axes. A) An online digital platform of cultural content and interest that will present the Archaeological sites of P.E. Heraklion. B) A digital navigation application on mobile devices that will consolidate the archaeological sites and monuments of the Heraklion Prefecture, under the jurisdiction of the EFAI, into themed routes, and will function in addition to the project of unifying the Archaeological Sites of Mesara and the project of the Cultural Routes of the city of Heraklion. C) The creation of a small information centre at the entrance of Knossos with the installation of an information stand with printed material. D) The implementation of a digital tour application in the area of the palace of Knossos, where with beacon technology 38 points will be digitally marked where there are already information signs and where the user will receive on his mobile phone information regarding the point at which he is.
